• This is only the eighth time these clubs will have gone toe-to-toe in a league match. Each side has won three of the previous seven.

• Peterborough came from two goals down to claim a last-gasp 3-2 victory in the reverse fixture in November. Now they go in search of only their second league win on Derby turf, and their first since February 1993.

• The most recent victory over Posh by the Rams was 3-0 at London Road in January 2010. They are hoping to complete a hat-trick of home victories over these opponents.

Derby County

• Derby will be playing a fifth straight season of Championship football, and are aiming to gain a first top-half finish since relegation from the Premier League in 2008.

• All but five of their 18 league wins have been against bottom-half clubs.

• The Rams started the season on a four-match winning record, and entered October in second spot. But by Christmas they had fallen to 16th and have hovered around mid-table since then.

• Peterborough, who attract the lowest gates in the Championship, have secured a second season at this level, and are set to achieve the second highest finish in their league history - the highest being 10th in this division in 1993.

• Darren Ferguson's side are without victory in five league games, and in 10 on the road.

• Championship games involving Peterborough have generated an unmatched 142 goals.
