Preview

Goalkeeper Julian Speroni will miss out for Crystal Palace after he dislocated a finger in the game against Reading last Saturday.

Centre-back Paul McShane has also joined a lengthy injury list with a hamstring injury set to keep him out.
Promotion possibilities

If Cardiff win they will be in the play-offs
If Cardiff draw they are near definitely in the play-offs, as Middlesbrough would need to beat Watford by a 10-goal margin
If Cardiff lose then Middlesbrough can take the play-off spot with victory at Vicarage Road

Cardiff go into the season's final day knowing a point will almost certainly secure them a play-off spot.

Midfielder Don Cowie has recovered from a calf strain, while Rudy Gestede (hip) could also return.

Winger Craig Conway is still out ankle ligament damage, and will miss the play-offs should Cardiff reach them.

• Crystal Palace are bringing to a close their seventh successive season at this level. They will finish in their highest position for three seasons, and could eclipse their 15th place from 2009.

• The Eagles are chasing a first win in nine league games, and are looking to end the regular league campaign on a victorious note for the first time in four years. But they have only picked up one win against the top seven clubs.

• Selhurst Park has witnessed fewer league goals this season than any other Championship ground (38).

Cardiff City

• Sixth-placed Cardiff are in pole position to clinch the fourth and final play-off spot. Victory or a better result than Middlesbrough achieve at Watford will extend their season for the third year in a row.

• The Bluebirds are unbeaten in nine league games, but are looking to end the regular league season with victory for the first time in four years. They have only been beaten once against the bottom nine clubs.

• Malky Mackay's club is the only one not to have had a man sent off in this Championship campaign.
