Team news for Tuesday night's Championship clash between Bristol City and West Ham at Ashton Gate.

City will be without suspended striker Brett Pitman, who was dismissed for a foul on Coventry's Jordan Clarke during the Robins' crucial 3-1 victory over the Sky Blues on Easter Monday and serves the second game of a three-match.

City boss Derek McInnes will be hoping his side move further clear of the relegation zone with a second consecutive home victory, but they will have to do so without a number of first-teamers.

Kalifa Cisse is a major doubt with an ankle injury, Lewin Nyatanga is also struggling with an ankle problem and another ankle victim, James Wilson, has been ruled out for the rest of season.

Midfielder Marvin Elliott (Achilles) and striker David Clarkson (ankle) will also remain sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce will be hard pushed to make any changes for after his side's 6-0 demolition of Brighton at the weekend.

The Hammers were outstanding as they raced into a three-nil lead after just 11 minutes against the play-off chasing Seagulls, wrapping things up after the break.

Allardyce was subsequently able to substitute the likes of Gary O'Neil, returning defender Guy Demel and hat-trick hero Ricardo Vaz Te to keep his side fresh as they cope with the demands of two games in four days, although there was no rest for his players as they returned to training on Sunday.

On-loan defender George McCartney will again be assessed having missed out against Brighton due to the mild concussion he suffered in the 3-3 draw against Birmingham on Easter Monday.

As will right-back Joey O'Brien, who has sat out of late with a thigh injury.
